Google shopping application is stopped in favour of the web version
De plus en plus d’utilisateurs se rendent directement sur la version web de Google Shopping afin de gagner du temps, laissant l’application dédiée au placard. Google a donc décidé de mettre fin à cette dernière.

Google is developing a lot of apps, be it Android and IOS. However, with this ever-increasing number of applications, users can sometimes get lost. It has to be said that with more than 150 apps on the Google play store, it is difficult to keep up with the pace. To simplify, Mountain view will abandon the development of its Google shopping app in favour of its web version.
Improve user experience
Google confirmed to
9to5Google
That the development of its Google shopping app was going to stop. The latter is being used less and less, whereas the web version is not. The application was first launched in 2019 and allows to reference thousands of items from different dealers (Boulanger, Amazon, Cdiscount, Rakuten, Ubaldi, etc.).
Google shopping consists of four parts. A first page (home page) that allows you to view items recommended by various algorithms, a second dedicated to notifications about promotions or the tracking of orders made from Google shopping, a third page to display orders placed and a last page to serve as a basket to see items awaiting payment.
However, many users prefer the web version of Google shopping which is much more ergonomic. It is for this reason that Google has decided to stop the development of the app. Removing this thorn from the foot will allow the company to focus on the web version to improve the user experience.
