Tesla Bot, the humanoid robot project presented by Elon Musk uses autonomous vehicle technology

During the presentation, the boss of Tesla highlighted some of the characteristics of the future Tesla Bot.These robots will measure 1 meter 72 and weigh 56 kilograms.They will have the opportunity to move at a speed of 8 km/h, to transport loads over 20 kg and can lift like a weightlifting, a load of 75 kg.

All of these characteristics show that the robot will be able to perform certain daily tasks such as climbing steps, wearing things or entering buildings.The objective being to be able to replace humans on repetitive tasks and to ensure that physical work can be something optional.The robot would also be “friendly”.

Technical characteristics

In order to offer Tesla Bot the possibility of seeing around him, the cameras of the company's autopilot system will be used.In terms of his chest, we will find the FSD computer, already present in brand vehicles.The objective is really to put the software developed for vehicles to use while trying to make them evolve.
