Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar the big recap of Disney + Day announcements

It's the big day: the Disney studios streaming platform is celebrating its "Disney+ Day"! An event to celebrate its two years of existence of course, but which is also the occasion of a great day of promotion of its services, its catalog and its future programs.

For the occasion, the firm took the opportunity to communicate on the performance of its streaming platform. Disney+ has more than 118 million subscribers as of October 2, 2021. Its service should be available in 50 additional countries in 2022.

New content available on November 12

New series and films are coming this November 12 on Disney+. Discover them below.

The documentary Under the Helmet - The Legacy of Boba Fett is available today on the platform. This film aims to introduce the famous bounty hunter to viewers, before the arrival of his series The Book of Boba Fett, scheduled for December 29th.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

The long-awaited Star Wars series about the famous Jedi master has finally shown its first official images. The series includes the return of Ewan McGregor as Kenobi, and Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, 16 years after Revenge of the Sith.

Marvel

After Loki and Hawkeye, the next Ms. Marvel series (from the studios of the same name) should also be released between July and September 2022. A first (short) teaser to discover below has been revealed. More details in our dedicated article.

The She Hulk and Moon Knight series (with Oscar Isaac) also had new logos and the very first teasers, to discover below. All of these programs have no release date yet.

In addition to these three series, many other Marvel programs have been teased, with supporting logos. The Secret Invasion series also revealed a first image of an elderly Nick Fury.

Disney / Pixar

Baymax!, a new series about the character from the movie The New Heroes, is announced for summer 2022.

A new animated series based on Pixar Studios' Cars movie is on the way. Cars on the Road will arrive during 2022 on the Disney+ platform.

The Zootopia+ series, made up of short programs adapted from the film Zootopia released in 2016, is announced for 2022.

A new series from Pixar Studios, titled Win or Lose, is slated for Fall 2023. Here is a first visual anyway:

Finally, the first glimpse of the Tiana series, adapted from the film The Princess and The Frog (2009), has been revealed to us.

Other announcements

In addition to these tantalizing new images, the studios have announced the release on Disney+ in Fall 2022 of its live-action adaptation of Pinocchio, directed by Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future), with Tom Hanks. More information on our dedicated article.

Disney+ has also released a first trailer for one of its first French series, Week-end Family. This family show with Eric Judor will arrive in 2022 on the platform.

A new movie Ice Age has been announced. Entitled The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, it will be availableJanuary 28 on Disney+.

In addition to the arrival of the romantic comedy Once Upon a Time (2007) on Disney+ this November 12, a sequel to the film, again with Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey b>, is planned on the platform in 2022. A first teaser poster is out:

A new Ticking and Tacking Rangers of Risk series has been announced. The two squirrels will be dubbed in their original version by actors John Mulaney and Andy Samberg. If we don't have a release date yet, an image of the (very small) scenario has been unveiled.
