The first Turkish fighter plane presented in Paris |lepetitjournal.com
Developed by the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), the TF-X fighter plane was presented Monday in Paris at the 53rd aeronautical fair in Le Bourget, the largest aerospace industry in the world.
This is the first combat aircraft model in Turkey.Developed by the Turkish company TUSAş, it was designed in order to meet the operational needs of the Turkish armed forces (TFA) in the medium term.TAI Director General, Temel Kotil, said it was the first time that the fifth generation national combat aircraft was presented and that his inaugural flight would take place in 2025.He added that the machine would be "the best fighter in Europe".
According to Temel Kotil, the TF-X would have characteristics similar to fighter planes F-35.Produced by the American company Lockheed Martin, this plane is at the heart of the conflict between Turkey and the United States for a few months.This conflict was caused by the purchase of S-400 Russian missiles by Ankara.Following this decision, Washington had suspended the delivery of the F-35 aircraft parts in the hope that Turkey renounces the S-400 missiles.
Le Bourget lounge takes place from June 17 to 23.In addition to the TF-X demonstration flight, Turkey will present, among other things, the ATAK and Gökbey helicopters, the anka-free air vehicle and the Hürjet training aircraft.
