Soon, drones to monitor highways!
Tunisia Autoroutes is moving on the development of its policy and the renewal of its action strategy Coursla period to come by rationalizing governance.
Indeed, the company is launching new projects related to control and security operations, and to operate new highways as soon as possible, according to its own resources, according to the declarations of its PDGSIHEM BENSOLTANE.
In an exclusive interview with AfricanManager AR, she said that the company has faced, in recent years, with major difficulties which have prevented her from going from the front of the realization and creation of new projects, which impactednegatively his image.
In fact, Ben Soltanea indicated that the company is currently working to change this image by developing an action strategy fordifferently and by setting specific objectives which depend mainly on the resources at its disposal, whether they are human or logistical.
As part of this new strategy, the company is working to act on expenses to compress them and mobilize additional resources by investing in optical fibers to connect all motorway networks and using solar energy in lighting.
The PDGA specified that the optical fibers will be adopted in the Sfax-Gabès motorway project, part of which will be carried out by 100% Tunisian skills.To this end, the company has obtained the approval of the National Telecommunications Authority.
Model experience
Among the most important projects current study, is a project relating to the surveillance and security of citizens on the highway.
The singularity of this project is due to the fact that it allows real -time surveillance through unmanned air developments (UAV), otherwise.
According to Sihem Ben Soltanes, the first test will be carried out on the Tunis-Hammamet highway using solar energy knowing that the company will support the purchase of drones as well as the necessary equipment associated there.
She also stressed that this project will help reduce monitoring costs.
Current projects
Referring to the highway projects being completed, it notes several which are at advanced stages, such as the Sfax-Gabès motorway, which has entered the completion phase of the automatic payment system.
Compared to the delay missed the realization of the subject, she explained that it is due to the lack of raw guarantees like the iron.
Regarding the Gabès-Médenine motorway, she confirmed that this project has increased by 80% and is currently in the completion phase of the automatic payment system knowing that the work will end by the end of 2022.
Regarding the delay in the completion of the Médenine-Ras al-Jdir motorway, the CEO indicated that it is due to land problems.
Possible solutions
Regarding Desolutions to be implemented, Sihem Ben Soltane stressed that the company is working to remedy the inadequacies level of the capacities it has by creating additional resources, planning its expenses and fixing priorities, in particular those linkedto citizen security.
She considered that the instability of the cogs of the state as well as the absence of long -term strategic planning are among the main causes that prevented the company from achieving its objectives.
