A career mode that looks alike
As with the latest installments, NBA 2K21 offers a career mode integrating cutscenes to get attached to our character, but also to offer a unique scenario. Nevertheless, if the story told is not identical, it looks a lot like what we have already had in the last games. Without forgetting that I have the impression that the dialogues between the different protagonists are only phrases after phrases. We don't feel any originality and we no longer have the impression of being forced to go through these cutscenes rather than enjoying them. This is one of the first times that I have this impression with a franchise game. Usually, I felt like the developers were not afraid to go further and to offer something unique year after year. In addition, once your character has reached the big league, there is no kinematics. At this level, you just have to make your games without any scenario or story to tell. An element that disappointed me when we had different kinematics last year throughout our career.
More accessible playability
On the prosecution, the regulars of the franchise will not be disoriented by this NBA 2K21 which offers a very similar playability even if the latter has received some improvements by the developers of the Visual Concepts studio.
