The La Poste group has presented the results for the year 2020. Since the beginning of the year, the La Poste group and the Caisse de Dépôts et consignations group have decided to merge La Banque Postale and CNP Assurances. The La Poste group recovered CNP Assurances shares in return for a CDC stake in La Poste. The turnover of the La Poste group reached 31.185 billion euros, up 20% with CNP Assurances and 4.4% without. The operating result reached 3.146 billion euros, including gains of 3 billion CNP and losses of 2 billion due to containment. The group's net income reached 2 billion euros, taking into account gains of 3.6 billion CNP and losses of 2.2 billion from containment.
The group is carried by GeoPost, the private delivery service (GeoPost, DPD, Chronopost, etc.), with 3.273 billion (+42.1%) and La Banque Postale (including CNP) with 7.724 billion (+ 36.8%). But the Mail-Parcel service with 12.156 billion (-1.8%) and the other services and intercos with a loss of 536 million (+5.9%) weigh down the group. In this last activity, the La Poste Network brings together the 17,027 contact points (7,708 post offices and 9,319 partnerships) and La Poste Mobile.
La Poste Mobile has more than 1.8 million customers. Over the year, the operator attracted 539,000 customers, including 454,000 subscribers to one of the SIM and mobile+packages. On 1 November, the operator sold its Internet customer base (100,000 customers) to its service provider and minority shareholder SFR, following a change in strategy by La Poste Mobile. Following the purchase of Euro-Information Telecom and its 2.2 million customers by Bouygues Telecom, the postal MVNO becomes the first independent MVNO in France, ahead of Coriolis and Prixtel.
