COVID-19: Reinforced Spanish border controls
Since this Sunday, faced with the outbreak of the propagation of the Delta variant, the government has adapted health measures to the borders of certain countries.Now to return or get out of Spain, you have to be completely vaccinated or have a negative PCR test of less than 24 hours.
Spain, like Portugal, Cyprus, the Netherlands and Greece are under surveillance of the European space, with a test required of less than 24 hours for non-vaccinated persons, indicates the prefecture of the Pyrenees-Atlantic.This system applies to anyone over twelve years.It is valid for entering or leaving Spain by air or maritime.In addition to the valid health pass, ""any passenger having to go to Spain by plane or by boat, including in transit, must complete a personal and non -transferable form.Once this form is completed and signed, the traveler receives a QR code associated with his trip which he must keep on his mobile phone or print in order to be able to pass the airport health check "".
On the other hand, can we also read, on the France Diplomacy site, outside the SANTARY PASS, ""no document is necessary (neither QR code nor certificate) in the event of entry into Spanish territory by land"".
In parallel, the governing lightens the obligations for vaccinated persons.The vaccination scheme considered to be complete has a shortened period for anyone traveling to France.After the injection of the second dose (or the first for people who have already contracted the virus), it takes 7 days, against 14 days previously.For the monodose janssen vaccine, the scheme is complete 28 days after the injection.
The prefecture also specifies that ""the government will strengthen checks towards all airlines and sea responsible for enforcing this system.Term border random checks will also be increased.""
Spain for its part requires the following rules on its entire territory:
Wearing the compulsory mask for anyone over 6 years old in enclosed spaces receiving the public or open to the public;
Wearing the compulsory mask in all open spaces, when grouping of people do not allow respect for a distance of 1.5 m (except between people from the same home);
Wearing the compulsory mask in all transport (air, land, sea) including on quays or stations, in public or private transport (VTC) of travelers in vehicles up to 9 places, except people ofthe same home.For travelers of cruise ships, wearing the mask will not be compulsory in the cabins, or in the outdoor spaces of the ship if a distance of 1.5 m can be respected (except people from the same home);
Respect for barriers;
The holding of passenger registers by transport operators, kept for four weeks.
This Sunday, July 18 at 0 a.m., France also extended the list of countries in red.
