These new AI-generated Pokémon are quite successful
POKEMON - Catch 'Em All! The 898 official Pokémon created since 1996 may be joined by new congeners. Max Woolf, data scientist at Buzzfeed, has developed an AI (artificial intelligence) to generate new creatures from old ones.
The concept is simple, the computer program records all the portraits of existing Pokémon, then uses this data to design others randomly.
Max Woolf shared his new creatures on Twitter this Wednesday, December 15. And, as you can see below, these Pokémon have a relatively strange, almost alien-like appearance, but no less intriguing. Initially 192 in number, they quickly multiplied under the strong demand of Internet users.
