It was with a certain feverishness that the Ramond company has been waiting for this first cultural meeting within the Protestant Temple in Bagnères since its membership of the Association of Friends of the Protestant Temple in Bagnères-de-Bigorre (ATPBB).
Indeed, closed for several months for work, the reopening inauguration which took place on October 23 was immediately followed by a conference around the presentation of the book "Le Montaigu, Pastoral Mountain of Bigorre" by AlainCazenave-Piarrot and Gilbert Peyrot respectively geographer, honorary lecture at the University of Toulouse Jean-Jaurès and professor of honorary schools, passionate about the Pyrenees in general and Bigorre in particular.An evening when Montaigu was at the center of the world according to Alain Cazenave-Piarrot's formula.
Shortly before, the two authors had signed their work during the Pyrenean book fair.
Another satisfaction is the presence of around sixty participants, attracted by the subject on the one hand and by the desire to regain contact with the conferences of the Ramond company after two years of interruption on the other.
Throughout their presentation, the authors, Alain Cazenave-Piarrot and Gilbert Peyrot explained, from a scientific point of view the "geohistory of a pastoral mountain space" by exposing the methodology followed by these twomen.
